United Nations Advanced Training Summer 2024: Empowering Future Global Leaders

The United Nations Advanced Training (UNAT) program, held from June 10-19, 2024, has once again proven to be an exceptional opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of international relations and global leadership. This year’s program, which took place at the UN Headquarters in New York City and various government offices in Washington, D.C., offered participants a unique blend of educational experiences, networking opportunities, and hands-on training in diplomacy and global affairs.

The UNAT participants explored the iconic UN General Assembly Hall, where global leaders gather to address the world’s most pressing issues.

  • Human Rights and Environment Briefings: They engaged in specialized briefings on pressing global issues such as human rights and environmental conservation, presented by senior UN officials.

  • Exploration of U.S. Historical Sites: Beyond their UN experiences, participants visited iconic U.S. historical landmarks, enriching their understanding of America’s cultural heritage.

  • Exclusive U.S. Government Briefings: The program offered unique briefings at U.S. government offices with prominent figures such as U.S. Senator Laphonza ButlerCongressman Jimmy Gomez, and Congresswoman Grace Napolitano. These sessions deepened students’ knowledge of U.S. governance and legislative processes.
