Program Overview  

The VU STEM MBA program offers an accessible path to advanced business education, with reasonable admission standards and alternative options for those who may not meet all requirements.

Eligibility Requirements  

To apply for the VU STEM MBA program, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university in Korea or the United States
  • Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher (on a 4.5 scale)
  • English proficiency score in one of the following:
    • TOEIC: 690 or higher
    • TOEFL: 80 or higher
    • DUOLINGO: 115 or higher
    • IELTS: 6.0 or higher

Note: Don’t worry if you don’t have any English proficiency test scores as you may still be conditionally admitted by passing the school’s English interview or completing MBA PREP.

Required Documents  

Prepare the following documents for your application:

  1. English Resume
  2. Passport Copy
  3. English Personal Statement (800 characters or less)
  4. College Transcript (English copy)
  5. College Graduation Certificate (English copy)
  6. English Test Score Report (if applicable)
  7. Financial Proof: $45,000 or more (including student and 2 accompanying family members; add $3,313 for each additional child)

Note: If your GPA is below 2.75 (out of 4.5), submit an additional Personal Statement demonstrating your academic ability.

Application Process

  2. Stanley Prep document review and school English interview
  3. Write contract
  4. Receive final admission letter and I-20
  5. Obtain F-1 visa
  6. Enter the U.S. (allowed up to one month before class starts)
  7. Begin MBA PREP or MBA degree program

Refund Policy  

  • Full refund (except for $335 application fee) if F-1 visa is denied
  • No refund for change of mind or personal reasons
  • No refund after program starts

Application Deadlines  

  • Spring Semester:
    • Application deadline: Late October
    • Class start date: Late January of the following year
  • Fall Semester:
    • Application deadline: Late May
    • Class start date: Late August of the same year

Additional Notes  

  • The Cohort program offers morning classes and will run when a minimum number of students enroll. If this minimum is not met, students can join the existing MBA evening classes at Virscend University.
