UN Online: Experience Global Diplomacy, Anywhere
For university students and outstanding high school students interested in international relations and diplomacy, we offer a unique opportunity to experience and learn about the United Nations and global diplomatic affairs—completely online.
The UNO Program is designed to bring together selected participants from around the world to engage with UN officials and international diplomacy experts. Through this program, students will gain firsthand insights into multilateral policy-making and develop a deeper understanding of global issues.
By adapting the core elements of UNAT’s flagship program into an online format, we ensure that participants can access this prestigious global leadership experience from anywhere in the world. This program offers a one-of-a-kind learning opportunity for students passionate about international relations and political science, helping them stand out in their academic and professional journeys.

The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of constituents.

- The video should be less than 5 minutes. We hope to understand the applicants’ proficiency in articulation, presentation, and English language. (After application submission, look out for an email about the video speech.)

- “What do you believe is the most pressing issue in international affairs today? How should global leaders address this challenge?”
- “What do you think is the role of the United Nations in solving global problems today? Do you believe it is functioning effectively? If you were the UN Secretary-General, what changes would you implement?”
- Video Submission Guidelines
- Length: 3–5 minutes
- Language: English
- Format: Creative expression is encouraged (presentation, interview-style, storytelling, etc.)
- Content: Provide concrete examples and insights instead of simply listing achievements
- Technical Requirements: Record in a quiet environment with clear audio and good lighting
- Submission: Follow the directions in the email.

Application Evaluation
- Stanley Prep evaluates your complete application and issues an acceptance decision within approximately 2 weeks. During this step, a Stanley Prep staff member may reach out with additional questions.

Receive an acceptance letter, a program agreement, and a program fee invoice
- Expect to receive the acceptance package in an email. Please let us know if you don’t receive it within two weeks after the video submission, and we will make sure to resolve the issues.

Submit an electronically signed program agreement, consent & waiver forms, and evidence of program fee payment
- Follow the instructions in the acceptance email to upload those electronically signed documents. Uploading the payment receipt you get from your bank would allow us to track your payment and expedite the process. A service fee is added for a credit card payment.

Prepare for the program

Financial Assistance

Full Program Scholarship:
- We support students who demonstrate the qualities of future global leaders. If you submit a recommendation letter from your school principal along with your application, you may be selected for a full program scholarship (excluding accommodation fees). Scholarship recipients will serve as program ambassadors and supporters, acting as a bridge to represent and connect alumni from each session.

Early Bird Discount:
- Applicants who register before the Early Bird Discount deadline (refer to the website) will receive a $500 discount, which will be applied to the total program fee.

Application Fee Waiver Promotion:
- Applicants can receive a $200 application fee waiver code from their school counselor. To obtain the code, express your interest in the program to your counselor, who can then request it by emailing admissions@stanleypreponline.com. Counselors must use their official school email address with their email signature included. The waiver amount will be deducted from the total program fee.
