First-time companies working with Stanley Prep, or those resuming after a hosting gap of three years, are required to pay a one-time orientation fee. This fee covers the review process to determine eligibility and suitability, ensuring your company meets the U.S. Department of State’s standards for J-1 Visa host organizations. The fee is non-refundable and must be paid by the host company, not the J-1 candidate. It ensures that companies fully understand their responsibilities as a U.S. host, including providing training, supervision, and overseeing evaluations completed by both the trainee and supervisor. Once a company successfully completes a training program—defined as a program where both mid-term and final evaluations are submitted as required—it is considered fully registered and eligible to host future programs.

Site visits are mandatory for companies with fewer than twenty-five full-time employees and annual revenues under $3 million. A host company can request an expedited site visit, which will be conducted within five days of submitting the application.

All complete applications are processed within 4 to 6 weeks. By selecting the “expedited service” option on the individual or host company application form, evaluations can be completed in either five or ten business days.
